These are random images from around the 3d Herd (3d Combat Communications Group, USAF) compound.
Personal equipment pictures were taken when we turned our stuff in as CASF in preparation for the Herd’s inactivation.
Fusion Student Ministries (Del City, OK) does an annual fundraiser around Valentine’s Day. They receive donations toward particular persons to be called out during a designated church service, and a fun skit is performed for them.
I was told that the voice-overs were quite memorable. I’ve tried to improve since then.
A massive tornado tore through Moore, Oklahoma on May 20, 2013. These items were donated from other military installations and staged at Tinker AFB prior to distribution to the local community. I was asked to take some pictures of them.
These are photos I took at the 2012 Midwest City (Oklahoma) Veteran’s Day parade. Photos focus on the 3d Herd (3d Combat Communications Group, USAF), which has since been inactivated. Enjoy!
I was in Best Buy on Friday and decided to finally buy a proper desktop microphone. I’ve been wanting to learn how to do voiceover work for a while, mostly just to have the skill for when I need a voice for a video project and there’s no one else available.
I’ve also want to read full chapters of the Bible to upload here for folks to listen to.
Best Buy price matched it, so I was able to score it for $99, which I think is a pretty good deal.
It’s a USB condenser mic, and has four selectable pickup patterns. I played with it briefly, but due to excess noise from neighbors, I was not able to produce any files worth uploading. I need to find somewhere quiet to work.
I still plan to buy a flash-based portable recorder, such as the Zoom H6 for future video projects.

I had the honor of taking pictures at the 2013 Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana annual Fire Muster, during fire safety week. Teams from various units on Barksdale Air Force Base competed in these events. Please enjoy these images.
I’m excited to move to the Amazon EC2 platform, and it’s nice to have a full LAMP server to play with, instead of the limiting CMI that Google Pages offered. I’m hoping to move all of the old content over here soon. Maybe this site will even be worth looking at.
