I took some pictures last weekend of a nearby half-frozen pond with ducks.
I used Canon Rebel X SLR camera with Ilford Pan F+ 50 film. I scanned the negatives in with bracketed exposures using a cheap Wolverine scanner, and then processed them with Lightroom and Photoshop.

Here are some photos I captured using a Canon Rebel X film SLR with Canon 40mm/2.8 STM lens on Tri-X 400 black and white film. I developed them at home with Rodinal and TF-5 fixer, scanned them with a cheap Wolverine scanner, and processed them in Adobe Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC to make them look decent. My niece is in town and we decided to visit the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in nearby DC. Despite the hot weather, the place was packed with tourists. The hot weather made the animals seek shelter, the tourists (especially kids) were constantly in the way of my camera, and my zoom lens (Tamron 70-300) missed focus a lot, but I was still able to find a few pictures worth sharing with you. I bought a pen at the BWI Fountain Pen show last Saturday. My searches on Google, Amazon, and Ebay have failed to locate the exact make and model. UPDATE: I’ve discovered that it is most likely a Baoer 801- It’s silver, thin and looks similar to the Jinhao 126, with differences.
